The First Annual
Middlebury Ska Fest

w/ Skavoovie and the Epitones, Beat Soup, Big Lick, and the Skamaphrodites

Although not a single member of Beat Soup woke up Sunday morning in a dorm room, Middlebury College's first annual Ska Fest on 2/21 was still indeed a great event.  We had a great time playing and the crowd was awesome!  Our new tunes received some very positive feedback, so keep your eyes and ears open for them appearing on a new CD in the not too distant future. The Skamaphrodites (from Burlington VT) did an outstanding job warming the crowd up with their entertaining brand of energetic ska.  This is definitely a band to watch out for in the future - make sure you catch them if you get the chance.  Big Lick delivered once again a rockin', pumped up set that never let down, and forced you jump around with them.  By the time Skavoovie took the stage, the crowd was good and ready to be whipped up into a skanking frenzy.

Skavoovie is a great band and their shows are always heaps of fun.  We've played a number of times with them over the years and they're sounding better than ever.  EVERYBODY in the crowd was dancing and a good time was had by all.  Much props go out to Russ Costa who did a fantastic job organizing this show!  We're looking forward to the 2nd annual show up there next year!
